I want to walk on sunshine

(H&M top and side bag, Gap shirt, dress received as a gift)

One thing that I can never resist during the summertime (or any other season) is ice cream from an ice cream truck. I actually don't even know why I can't stop myself from running after an ice cream truck (I actually do, and did today). Maybe those cute tunes from the trucks have some sort of hypnotic effect on me..haha! My absolute favourite is a vanilla cone dipped in sprinkles...YUM! I was originally going to share it with my sister because we bought it right before dinnertime...but I ended up eating 2/3 of the entire thing and practically all the sprinkles! hahaha! Last week when I went into Kingston for my cousin's graduation, we had to stop for gas but we couldn't seem to find any gas stations and as we kept driving, we saw a sign that said "gas". I seriously couldn't believe that green tank was the gas station! Also last week, when I went to my sister's school's fun fair, we bought bags and bags of these popcorn! They were so good I that I decided to buy six bags! If you guessed that I got weird looks, I did.

On another note, my I20 from school has arrived meaning I'm one step closer to being ready to move down, south of the border! It's so exciting but at the same time so unbelievably surreal! Even when I talk about my plans with my family or friends, it still feels like there's a lot of time left until I go, but in reality, it's only a short two months away...I'm seriously going to miss everything that I have here but at the same time, there's still a lot of preparation that has to be done. My cousin and I will probably head over sometime in July to look for a place in advance before our move in August. That's only a month away until we potentially find the place that we will be living in for the next year or two! EEEK! Now on a lighter note, in preparation for school, it's essential that I have all my shots but it seems that my vaccine for measles has worn off. Today when I went to go get my shot, I actually tried to run away from my doctor, TWICE! I almost let my feet walk me out the door! Oh man, was I embarrassed! But seriously, getting a vaccination is a scary thing! I get laughed at, but I'm sure there are others who feel the same way!

XO,
C

I can't resist ice cream from the trucks too, they just taste so much better. I like the vanilla and chocolate twist. Best of both worlds :)

This is gorgeous Carrie - love the faded maxi! I'm extremely jealous of those who can pull off maxis because I can't ever imagine how I would look in one (probably really short).

I'm super excited for you - hope you have a blast studying in NYC. I would love to complete my undergrad there.. But I'm already going into my fourth year so it's pretty much pointless now haha. Keep us all updated because I'd love to live that dream of mine through your photos haha

NYC? that's so NICE! I am so excited for you. Are you going to study fashion there? I wished I had an opportunity like this to study at a different city when I was younger. Boo! Anyway, good luck with the move and be sure to share photos with us :)

You look so lovely and somery! I think shirts tied at the front is something I really must try! Unfortunately it's winter here at the moment though so it might be some time!
