say what?!

WHOOOSH! That's how I feel right now. These four years seemed to have passed by faster than a space rocket! Last night was commencement and being with my fellow graduates of 2010, I just didn't want the night to end. Anyways, the night did end and now, it's one hundred percent, officially summer vacation. Woke up at twelve thirty today...no doubt it's summer vacation!

The Last Page - High School is done!

Club Monaco top, Lacoste skirt, and featuring: my handy dandy yearbook
So, this chapter on High School in our life stories, well, we're definitely on the last page. Today was the last day of classes, and the only things left are exams and commencement. We got our yearbooks today and all our friends gathered around to write down some memorable moments, some good lucks, some "let's stay in touch"'s, and in the mist of all that, I sat down for a second, and observed my surroundings, thinking: this is really the end, the people surrounding me are some of the friends I've made along the way. With these people, I've had classes with them, had lunches with them, shared jokes with them, and most importantly, shared so many memorable moments which I will never forget(or at least try not to). And together, we've all come a long way. We entered grade nine as young little kids trying to find our ways in a bigger place than we imagined. We've taken a long walk, though there's still a lot left of this journey. I'm sad that I probably won't be able to stay in touch with everyone I've met throughout these four years, but the world is so big, and there are still so many more things to experience, and just so many more people to meet. At the end of this chapter, I'm happy just being able to recall those wonderful moments in my mind. And mentally thank those who have taken a step with me. They've helped me mature and grow into the person who I am today. But fret not, because tomorrow, I'll continue to grow and hopefully, some friends I've made throughout HS, will continue to watch me become the person I aspire to be.

My very own S. LOVE YOU!

Fashion Club presidents? I think so. LOVE YOU! :)
My friend Burcu who modeled for me in the fashion show? Definitely! LOVE YOU! :)
I'm sad that I wasn't able to take more pictures with everyone else but I'll be around school with my yearbook and camera whenever I can.
Cheers to a bitter but very sweet day

C
P.S. here's another picture from the fashion show!

Sorry for the picture being so small, but I just can't seem to be able to enlarge the picture without ruining the pixels!

Third last day of school!

This is a black top I made, constructed with two different fabrics, and it zips on the side. The white trim on the bottom makes it flare out.

I wore it today with a BDG tank and black harem pants from Aritiza

Today was rainy and mucky outside, but hopefully, tomorrow, the weather will be nicer!

live, love, saturday

A bit late now, but on Saturday, my friend and I went downtown to watch my friend's dance performance. The show started at 7:00 so my friend and I walked around, and then walked to the Distillery District. Aftewards, we walked back to the theatre and ate at a sushi restaurant across the street. At first, we were kind of nervous to go in because the outside smelt like deep fried, too-oily tempura and it looked kind of sketchy. Inside though, it was very comfortable and spacious. Service was stellar and the food was definately not half bad.

two of my faves: California roll and Philidelphia roll
The dance performance was wonderful that night and it was really exciting for me to watch because I've participated in the production for the last two years but this year was the first time I was able to watch the show on the other side of the stage. I had a few friends on stage that night and their performances were great! It made me miss being part of it but it was obvious that they had put so much effort, time and dedication into the production. That night, I also saw some friends who I used to dance with, but hadn't seen for a long time, and it was extremely nice to be able to see them again!
When we first headed down that day, we were walking around and we saw a protest next to the Eatons centre. They were protesting about something for Palestine but it was hard to read their signs or hear their voices so I couldn't really understand what they were protesting for. I've always thought of myself as an informed person, and aware of world news...but I guess it's time for me to catch up on some things...
Anyways, school is pratically over and it's already the fourth last day of high school! Can't wait for summertime!

Hermès' Charlie Chaplin

I was just looking through the fashion section of the nytimes.com and came across a slideshow on the Hermès 2010 fall RTW show. Admist the models and beautiful clothes, I couldn't help but see their resemblance to comedian Charlie Chaplin!

Mybe it was the hats and the umbrella-like cane's that caused me to make the connection.

The rest of the outfits were absolutely amazing! The models looked smart, fierce, sleek, Charlie Chaplin-ish, and well.. just pretty cool! The bowlers, umbrellas, leather and fine tailoring made some perfect ensembles.

Done!

Well, au contraire to my title, not done everything.. but school feels pretty much done now and I can't wait to start something new! Although school isn't completely over, I feel like I can start looking for some good summer books, start looking for summer actvities, start relishing over the idea of high school being over(soon)! (so basically, the feeling of done-ness is completely taking over)
NEXT STAGE OF MY LIFE: HERE I COME! (hehe..)

Anyways though, obviously, it's also kind of sad that everything is slowly coming to an end. When school ends it'll be a long time until I see everybody again, the fashion club that my friend and I worked so hard for this year will be over, and just the idea of being carefree, and not having to think about our futures in great depth...well, that'll be over to.

My friend just drove me home, and she was talking about how she saw a show where celebrities talked about their lives when they were 17 (my age!) and she said that later on, we'll look back and think about our fun times at age 17! (that sounds so far away!)

So my school just recently had our prom so here are some prom pictures, accompanied by some other random pictures taken here and there:
(I got my prom dress literally less than five days before prom! from: mendocino)
(after prom, my friends and I headed towards a local Hilton; we didn't end up staying too long but the night definately lived on... lol!)

The night before prom, it was our school fashion show!
Here are my wonderful models wearing my designs:
(they did so great and I was so happy to have them model my designs, we had such a great time. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have, but my cousin and her friend were there taking pictures and so was my friend, so I can't wait to get those pictures too!)

And now, we'll go back in time to a few (a lot of) weeks ago, to when my sister and I made some, very delicous, chocolate covered strawberries!

Also a few weeks ago, when my parents were away, my sister and I went to Main Street and we sat around on a sunny (but sort of windy day), and had gelato!
(BDG cardigan, and grandma's vintage scarf)
ALSO a while ago (lol), my sister and I gorged ourselves with some very delicious oreo ice-cream topped with: mangos, cookie crumbs, banana slices, and sprinkles!
YUMMMMM!!!!
Anyways, must run now, steaming a Pizza Pop because we still don't have a microwave at the new house...(though my dad is quite adamant on not buying one because he's convinced that no matter how convenient a microwave is, it's unhealthy how it makes cold food hot so fast! Basically, he thinks it does more harm than good..), and so I have to make sure that it doesn't overcook...
Toodles and XO,
C
